Professor John Seymour AM is a clinical haematologist and from 2006 was the Director of the Department of Haematology of the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre & the Royal Melbourne Hospital until 2025. He graduated MB, BS from the University of Melbourne in 1987, and completed a translational research fellowship at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, receiving their Distinguished Alumnus award in 2011. He has a PhD for research on the pathobiology of haematopoietic growth factors conducted at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research.

Professor Seymour is a Vincent Fairfax Fellow in Ethical Leadership, and a member of several national and international scientific committees including the Scientific Boards of the International Workshop on CLL, Hairy Cell Leukemia Foundation, and the International Conference on Malignant Lymphoma. He served for more than a decade as Executive member and Chairman of the Australasian Leukaemia & Lymphoma Group.

Committed to academic publishing, he is an Editor-in-Chief of Leukemia & Lymphoma, currently on the editorial boards of seven academic journals. He has authored 24 book chapters, >650 peer reviewed publications (with >60,000 literature citations; h-index = 111), and >1,000 conference abstracts. He has been the principal investigator on >90 clinical trials. In 2015 he was awarded Membership of the Order of Australia and elected to the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences.

Silvia Deaglio is an MD PhD, Professor of Genetics at the University of Turin, Italy. She is the Director of the Immunogenetics and Transplant Biology Service of the Città della Salute e della Scienza University Hospital.

Her research activities are dedicated to understanding the cross-talk between genetic lesions and tumor microenvironment in chronic lymphocytic leukemia and Richter Transformation (RT). She has developed patient-derived xenograft models that have been instrumental in testing novel therapies and therapeutic combinations for RT patients.

Francesc Bosch, MD PhD, holds the position of Head of the Hematology Department at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital, as well as Head of the Hematology Department at IOB Institute of Oncology. He serves as a Professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

Dr. Bosch earned his medical degree from the University of Barcelona in 1988 and was awarded a PhD in 1997 for his research on the over-expression of Cyclin D1 in chronic lymphoproliferative disorders. He completed a postdoctoral stay at the Institute of Cancer Genetics, Columbia University, New York.

Renowned for his expertise in CLL, Dr. Bosch conducts both clinical and basic research focusing on the molecular pathogenesis of CLL and the development of innovative therapeutic strategies. He serves as Chair of the Spanish CLL Working Group (GELLC) and has published more than 200 papers in peer-reviewed journals including The New England Journal of Medicine, Nature Medicine, Cancer Cell, Blood, and Journal of Clinical Oncology.

Dr. Davids is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Clinical Research Director in the Division of Lymphoma at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, in Boston, Massachusetts. He also serves as the Leader of the Lymphoma Program for the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center.

In addition to maintaining a busy clinical practice focused mainly on CLL, Dr. Davids leads numerous clinical trials of novel combination regimens for patients with CLL and lymphoma. He also runs an independent laboratory that utilizes functional precision medicine techniques to study patient samples, with a goal of predicting response to therapy and understanding resistance mechanisms to targeted therapies.

Prof. Dr. Tanja Nicole Hartmann is Professor at the Medical Faculty of the University of Freiburg and Research Group Leader in the Department of Internal Medicine I at the Medical Center – University of Freiburg, Germany. She also serves as Head of Research and Scientific Coordination at the Comprehensive Cancer Center Freiburg.

Her research focuses on tumor microenvironment–driven mechanisms in chronic lymphocytic leukemia, with particular emphasis on integrin activation and adhesion-dependent signaling controlling leukemic cell survival and therapy response.

Stephen Opat is the Cancer Program Director at Monash Health and research lead for CLL/indolent lymphoma. He is Chair of the CLL Scientific Working Party of the Australasian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Group and founder/chair of the Australasian Lymphoma and Related Diseases Registry.

He is a Clinical Professor in the School of Clinical Sciences at Monash University and a Principal Investigator in over 90 trials mainly in lymphoma and CLL. He established a first-in-human and early phase haematology research unit at Monash Health in 2014. He has nearly 15,000 literature citations and is ranked in the top 1% of published authors in CLL and lymphoma.
